I said if you stay off the hwys. Although, I do drive hwy 37 from alma to mondovi many times a week at 70+ and have yet to be hassled. You have to realize that 35, 25, and 10 are all busy routes for boat traffic during the warm summer months. Every road that leaves a hwy in the area I am in goes back to that same hwy at some point in the next 50 miles. Just cruise around and have fun, like I said, plenty of places to stop and ask for directions if you get lost. There is some kind of poker run or bike ride every couple weekends of the summer out here and I bet half of the bikes/cars have mn plates.

Yep. I grew up doing the same thing. Could ride all day and see lots of sights with few others on the roads. Loved those paved country roads.Originally posted by tim View PostGo down 61 to wabasha and back up on the Wisconsin side. Hwy 60 is great like scotty said too. Really the Wisconsin side is amazing on bike or a nice handling car. I live in the area most of the time and trust me, you have to hunt for a gravel road. Everything is paved in the river valley. Hwy 37 from alma to mondovi wi is my main area and there are hundreds of miles of paved twisty roads that offer some insane views. The best part is that there are little towns everywhere so if you get lost you can always stop at a bar and ask. I highly recommend west central Wisconsin for any motorcycle or non drag car car cruises. Another thing, if you get off the state hwys you really have nothing to worry about with cops, just watch for deer and other creatures when it starts to get dark.

Well, don't ride in the ditch then.Originally posted by MaroonZ28 View PostI've been pulled over 3 times on Wisconsin 35 (road on Wisconsin side of the Mississippi) for doing 5-10 over. They're assholes in Wisconsin. Better off staying on the highway to keep out of trouble.
