I guess I've never been in one. I find it hard to believe it is impossible to either turn the car off or shift it in neutral. However, if it is that complicated, I can see why people are having trouble under duress.Originally posted by Akromix View PostEver been in a prius? That shit is all electronically controlled.

Is it suicide or death by media/government, I think both. This is the first Prius to be reported with sticky throttle, they were recalled for braking issues. I'm real interested in seeing what they come up with when the officials from Toyota and the Gov look at it. I have a feeling that this guy was hired by the US government to pretend the throttle stuck to put a another nail in the coffin, I know sounds far fetched our government doing something like that. It just seems strange that all these issues come up and are a Major news story a few months after the government takes over GM, these issues have been around for a few years and just now they come out hmmmmm. Lets bring down the import companies so people buy the government owned cars! But yeah the government would never hatch such a conspiracy never.Originally posted by Redneckvert View PostWatching Toyota commit suicide is quite entertaining
Buying muscle/sports cars/regular cars/trucks, send me info, I pay cash or credit card if that makes you feel better!

It's more likely than you think.
Not at the table, Carlos.

I've been told that the cars with "On" buttons don't have steering wheel locks anymore.Originally posted by HELLFYR View PostNot so sure just shutting off any car at 90+ mph is a good idea. That old steering wheel lock thing will make a bad situation worse. Hell, it sucks when you do it at under 50mph

My cousin tried to give up smoking recently. Said its the hardest thing he's ever tried to stop...
He's obviously never driven a Toyota!
Edit, another one:
President of Toyota was 4 hours late to his meeting in Washington...his rental car was a Prius and he couldn't get it stopped until he reached Virginia.Last edited by Fosters; 03-10-2010, 03:16 PM.Originally posted by punchSFC is a bag of stupid.Capitalization is the difference between helping your uncle Jack off a horse & helping your uncle jack off a horse.

msrp on corolla $15,450 - $20,150
sounds like he could have gotten a fully loaded top of the line corolla for the same price... or gone bottom of the line and bought 7 years worth of gas @ current gas prices...
