why not buy a ford racing crate motor, then put a 250 shot on it. should be fast and reliable.

you obviously havent been told the story of the last 2 crate motors from ford we got to play with the first motor josh got had a bent crank that took out the motor on the dyno and the tranny, the replacement would have eaten itself if it had been started. hell they even had used oil in it with metal shavings everywhere and even put the wrong type of spark plugs in it

10s na be prepared to spend upwards of 15k between motor, fuel, chassis (cage), suspension, tranny etc.

He hasn't done a 10 sec car yet, so he hasn't been NICKLED AND DIMED yet.

People seem to overlook all the things that add up.

In all seriousness we should have everybody running 10s or faster post their fastest pass and how much they have invested.

ive got 12-13K right now and i still have about another prolly 2k+ to go yet before it even makes a pass and i PRAY for 10.90s and that was cutting LOTS of corners and getting some hellacious deals

i have built carbed 347's but never efi so i come on here to ask for help, not to be talked at. im not some dumb ass little punk ricer, i grew up building v8's and working on mustangs and fairlanes and galaxies and ford trucks. if some one tells me it cant be done for tbhat budget then i'll listen, but no one has said it cant be done at that budget.so thx for letting me know ur opinion

Since you're smarter and have more experience than the people whom your asking for help I'd say just go with your original plan.

I bought almost everything possible used including my chassis and did all the labor except machine work myself and I've got over 15K into my notch that won't run tens let alone be competitive in the RS/N Class.

Hog wash, this guy can obviously build super motors for 5k, just go out in the garage, play some Daft Punk and make your motor harder, faster and stronger.
