Haha most dumb shits with no riding experience will take a 600 and fuck up in the first month. Much more room for error on a 250 for someone who doesn't know what they are doing. If your ego requires a bigger bike get a CB as suggested also

250's are pointless, and i think dangerous for new riders, barely enough power to safetly merge on the highway or get out of a tight spot.
