Just saw these pictures on another board. I believe that is a Kevlar Trans blanket with a hole. By looking at the Zoomies, blower & injection hat it...
whats it matter. Your car wont make enough power to do that

I have a feeling it did. Someone said this happened to him too warming the tires in 1st gear. He said this is what happens when the "Sprag" lets go. TCI transmission says nothing can contain the shrapnel.
Bill..
Its easy to see what happened with this car and all you ened to do is think back many moons ago.yes, this was a 727,but,it didn't use a torque convertor it had a clutch. In the old Flopper days and the early days of pro mod they used them and called them clutch flites. They leave like a stick tranny and drive like a automatic later. They have held more HP than most give them credit for and I'd be willing to be it was NOT a SFI clutch or SFI flywheel unit.Look at the blanket how its damaged a exploding torque convertor will do twice the damage. If you do not think so,ask John Baughman next time you see him about the one he blew apart many moons ago at the now closed 75-80 Drag-A-Way in Monrovia,MD in his 69 SS/FA Dodge Superbee.I can tell you this there was not much left of either the tranny, floorboard or his nerves afterwards. All that was left after that explosion of his 727 was the tailshaft, the rest was scattered from the 1/8 mile light down track..............Andy

wasnt talking about my car.
my car is a cruiser not a race car like nick and mikes
i was referring to the csr carbon fiber tranny shield that DIDNT stop the shrapnel from coming thru the floor of the car...they both have this exact shield on their race cars

Fuck the floor, look what it did to the door. I am concerned for nick more than mike. It will cut off nick legs. It will just break the stilts that mike uses to reach the pedals.
