MNMayhem - Revisited

It's now under a month away to Minnesota Mayhem and we have over 20 DSM's signed up and ready to race.

And not one single Mustang from TCStangs.

For some reason the DSM guys were not worried about breaking a month before the race. Yet the Mustangs complain of such problems? After trash talking import dependability? And these are not 14 second DSMs, the majority are DEEP into the 12's. Some have even provided timeslips and photos to prove as much.

Who's really THAT worried about breaking shit? Seriously... If some toy of a car can not worry about it then why are the owners of the Mighty Pony car worried?

PS: Excuse me, excuse me, the "Might Pony" car was the Pinto... the Mustang is, however, a very close second.

Keep in mind that there are quite a few guy's that aren't track legal. Convertables without roll cages and such. I think that is one of the reasons many of them have not signed up. I do plan to register after tomarrow though. Only a week left to register, correct?

And some are not interested because of the way the orignal organization was requiring Faster that xx.x cars.

You can't snub over half the club and expect them to merrily join an event "now" that they are good enough.

And what's really the point of going for me? I know I'm not the fastest car, if I want a grudge race against someone I'll just do it some night, thus saving myself $55. Lastly I don't feel like driving 3 1/2 hours to a racetrack.

I dunno, I think it would be really cool to have a big group of stangs there. I'm going and I know there are a decent amount of fbodies, older muscle cars, dsms, and other imports signed up. Lets get some stang representation

I think half the shit talkers on here are just scared of going to Mayhem because its actually real racing. From a stop with a Tree. Not this go from a roll bullshit. All that is good for is people who either can't drive or have two wheel drive and are scared that they are going to get ripped out of the hole.

Oh yeah and whoever said you can go out on the street and do the same thing, you are right. However Mayhem isn't a fight, its suppose to be a fun get together that legal and a chance to meet some people and win some cool stuff. Even if you don't have the fastest car, there will be tons of prizes for everybody.

The way I see it , the point of the 13.0 cut off was to avoid seeing a bunch of slow, loud and annoying Honda’s. Mustangs at least sound good even if they aren’t particularly fast. I wasn't under cut off till they changed it to 15.0, I didn't take it as "Your not good enough".
