    Trailer question.

So I got this really nice trailer now. However, where do I hook the fugging race straps? Do I need to weld on some rings or something to hook to?

Nothern sells some different rings, the "bolt on" ones you can also weld on.

I am sales- at the Roger's location, just go back to the section of the store with the trailer parts. They will be with the couplers, stake pockets, bearing buddies, ect.. Then buy the strongest ones, don't kid yourself and get the little ones, you already spent the money on the good straps.

        edit- nevermind

You're looking for weld-on D-rings. Northern doesn't carry them in their stores, at least when I tried buying them. You can get them in the store from Tractor Supply Company in South St. Paul.
When we got to my place, I already had a candle burning. It was by "Glade", which I think you pronounce like the singer Sade, because it is an exotic candle that smells just like real pine.

Thanks for the info so far.

Another dumb question. Where should I mount the rings? On the sides or on the front and back of the trailer?

I put the front d-rings on the front rail-

and the rear d-rings on the rear corner-

Reason for the rear d-rings being put on the side is because they would be a potential area for things to get caught on while dragging or for low clearance vehicles. I couldn't have them on the back side of the rear rail due to the ramp mounting rails being in the way.

Thanks for the pics Dustball. I work in St. Paul, so I'll have to check out the rings. Looks like a pretty heavy duty weld there. My welders only good for 1/4 inch or so.
