How do they have no balls?
There were 4 legitimate top line scorers available:
Hossa - Picked his team
Gabby - Had multiple chances to re-sign, never would have
Comrie - Went elsewere for a better deal, more $$$$
Havlat - We got 'em
I'm missing where we didn't have the balls to go after the big guys???
I think we made smart long term decisions; Havlat took less money to be here which enabled us to have more flexibility in the future. We made smart financial decisions for our 5th and 6th D-man; Instead of paying a guy 1 mil with a broken leg...
Currently we are 7.5 mil under the cap; this leaves money available for a big name next year too. And we have more options for potential trades IE: Harding

There are 3 teams over the cap right now and they will have to correct that before training camp. I could see us working a deal with Chicago if Bowman Jr. is willing to wheel and deal.Comment
