If anyone is bored friday night

Well I am going to attempt to put a different rear carrier assembly in my explorer friday night so if you are near the south end (Bloomington) and feel like stopping by and helping or just standing there and watching me struggle fell free. I could definetly use help if anyone has any useful experience. I could provide beverages if that helps.

PM me if you are interested

    Thanks
    Ryan

Well the first half is done. Everything is out. I have to press off the old hubs and bearings and put the new stuff on in the morning and then reassembly begins.

How long did it take to drop the rear out? Did the axles have to come out too?

it took about 4 hours to get everthing out. The axles had to be seperated from the hubs and then pulled out of the diff. About 2 hours was spent trying to get the first hub/knuckle assembly apart and out. it went fairly smooth after that. I got everything reassembled and put back in today and now I am happy to report that there are no noises or leaks from the rear end

Did one in a mitsu endeavor a while back and we dropped the rear diff in about an hour didn't need to even take the wheels off. Axles drooped enough to allow
                The diff to come out

Yeah explorer axles go through a hole in the frame so there is almost no wiggle room
