Nissan Code Scanner

Any of you guys have a code reader for a 2003 Nissan? I have a intermittent check engine light on the wifes Murano. Car has 92000 miles . I am 99% sure it is a bad TPS after doing some Google searches. Just want to make sure before I drop $300.

i'd definitely be sure before you chuck any kind of part at it.

there's alot of misinformation on the internet. you'd be surprised what some customers tell me they read on there about their cars.

i mean look at this site for example. think of the responses you'd get (and from who) if you say you have a check engine light on your mustang.

They are called internet hero's. I get a few of those every week. Then I laugh at them because they get made when they are told a price. Because 1badgrpi says it only takes 20 minutes to do said job why am I charging $100 and then they show me a print out of some bullshit posts on forum and I laugh even harder.

Oh I know exactly what you guys mean. And I will pull codes before doing anything. But with that said it looks like the symptoms that occur when the light comes on are very consistent with a TPS. And this is a common problem with this year and miles murano. Cory, you guys have a Nissan Scanner there?

i have an obd2 scanner that will work. does nothing fancy but will tell you code number and description and also clear it. i'll let you borrow it for your sled trailer.

If all you are looking to do is pull codes any obd2 scanner will work. I bought one from auto zone for like 150 that does a little more than that. Comes in handy.

Yes, i love getting the 20 page stappled togeather packet of internet bullshit, i laugh and then discard. Charge my Diag. and then continue with the day.
