    Tremec fluid type

    Wondering what people are running in their TKO's and 3550's? I have heard MerconV ATF, and GM Synchromesh. My 3550 had Amsoil synthetic manual trans lube and it was pretty nice shifting for having a jacked up top plate BUT I don't like Amsoil products much so I am hesitant to put that back in it..

    Has anyone ever run Royal Purple SynchroMax in a TKO based trans? I have it in my T5 and it's great..

    I have royal purple in my 3550 but if you go to the tremec seminar they say absolutely no to synthetic fluids

      I think it shifts fine, supposedly it hurts long term durability though

            So the consensus is Synchromesh then ok I'll get some Tuesday at work..
